No matter what LightBurst Broadband Internet Plan you have now, adding Burst Up! means your data will seamlessly flow both directions for the relatively small additional fee of $10 per month (that’s less than 35 cents a day).

Protect your family and loved ones from inappropriate Internet content. With Enhanced Parental Controls you’ll have additional functionality to help manage access to the Internet within your home. You can assign each of your children’s devices such as phones, tablets and laptops to a profile and then control all those devices from that profile. Pausing access for any device with a simple click. Filters can be selected to remove access to categories of content on the Internet. You can also set-up filters for specific applications or websites that you want to allow or block. The app receives notifications about the activity of each profile.

With ProtectIQ Network Security you have a silent guardian working in the background on your GigaSpire to provide an extra layer of protection against malicious traffic. Data coming into your network will be scanned for viruses and other malicious content and you will receive a notification if content was blocked for some reason. A detailed report is generated within the ProtectIQ main menu of the CommandIQ app, helping you to rest at ease knowing your home is protected.

Emails are getting larger every day and it is becoming extremely important to keep your emails safe and secure. LightBurst Broadband provides a basic email inbox and storage size of 1 GB. Our system will warn you by email when you reach 75%, 85% and 95% capacity of your storage limit. If you would like to add additional storage, you can purchase 2 GB of additional storage for $2.00. You can continue to expand your storage as needed.

* Symmetrical speed is only available in select areas. For those locations outside of the our symmetrical areas, Burst Up! will provide as much additional upstream speed as is possible based on the capabilities of our equipment. Distance from our office or our remote service cabinets determines the available speed at each customer location. Burst Up! provides additional upstream bandwidth “up to” the customer’s current BurstSpeed Broadband Internet Plan’s downstream speed but does not guarantee equal speeds. Actual DSL connection speeds are based on sync rates. Downstream and upstream speeds may be up to 15% lower due to network requirements and may vary for reasons such as customer location, web sites accessed, Internet congestion, customer owned equipment, line quality and distance from service equipment.
